The Alacha County Forever (ACF) program was awarded $29 million in 2000 for land conservation. Since then, ACF has more than doubled the amount of land purchased with the help of other organizations and businesses. But, with so much land under contract to be preserved, ACF is running a bit short. If the funds are not replenished, they will be forced to stop buying unless they can get donations or 100 percent grant funds.

On the Chart:

Voter Approved Funds: Money spent from the $29 million

Partner Funds: Money brought in from partnerships to buy land

General Funds: Non-voter approved funds

Total Land Value Acquired: A rolling total of lands acquired

The 2008 & 2009 values are projections for how the money will be spent. There are no actual numbers available yet.
