Daniel M. Silverman is a fourth year journalism student at the University of Florida, with an emphasis of study in online media. He also is currently an intern at the Gainesville Sun, where he reports and writes stories for their Gatorsports.com Web site.

Daniel also shoots and edits video for Gatorsports.com.

He is originally from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and has lived in Broward County for most of his life. He has also lived in Brooklyn, N.Y. for over a year.

Other places that Daniel has been to in the United States other than New York and Florida are Las Vegas, Washington, D.C. and Atlanta. Outside of the United States, he has visited Israel for almost two weeks on the Birthright Israel trip in December of 2001.

After Daniel graduates from the University of Florida he hopes to complete a second internship and then move on to graduate school.
