Each week there are approximately two assignments, if not more, due.

Most exercises are due via e-mail at 3 p.m. before class starts -- but this is not always the case. Always check the requirements & due section below for every assignment. Work handed in late is not accepted.

Week 4 > Sept 16

Exercise
Contact International Students
Description
Contact several international students in preparation for your upcoming interview exercise. Project 1 requires you to interview at least 3 students from 2 different continents.
Requirements
Make contact with several international students from different countries & continents. Begin to assess who is willing to be interviewed & what stories he or she might have to tell.

Do not yet interview them. While you may set up an interview appointment, you are not to interview any students for this project until after class on Sept 23.

Purpose
This is the first step in Project 1. Before you know what international stories there are to be told on campus, you must locate prospective sources who are willing to be interviewed.
Context
As a journalist, you are often tasked to talk to people who come from different cultures and backgrounds.
