Each week there are approximately two assignments, if not more, due.

Most exercises are due via e-mail at 3 p.m. before class starts -- but this is not always the case. Always check the requirements & due section below for every assignment. Work handed in late is not accepted.

Week 14 > Nov 25

Exercise
Project 2 Draft Articles
Description
Drafts of article chunks on the global issue due.

Each student will concentrate his or her efforts on a particular facet of the team subtopic & report on that. Each student is to write 3 chunks of content as a part of the team issue subtopic.

Because Project 2 is a team project, each person in the team will get the team grade – therefore you are relying on the work of your teammates to earn points in this exercise.

Requirements
Bring 4 copies of your complete set of team article chunks into class. You will give one copy to the instructor & distribute the remaining sets of your team chunks to the other teams in class. The articles must:
  • Be approximately ~350 words per chunk
  • Have only one article chunk per page
  • Have the journalist's name on each page
  • Identify the issue subset & related articles (either at top of bottom of the page)
  • Identify prospective links within each article by putting a box around it & noting the link destination
Purpose
When writing for the Web, it is much easier to ensure that all of the text is perfect & the links planned before ever evening starting the HTML formatting process. Additionally, as a team you will want the feedback from other teams working on the same project so that the entire group can work toward creating a high-quality end product.
Context
When working on group project it is important to review the work of others in your team. This allows you to not only discover how your work fits in to the larger picture, but also check to make sure that there is not content overlap.
