Each week there are approximately two assignments, if not more, due.

Most exercises are due via e-mail at 3 p.m. before class starts -- but this is not always the case. Always check the requirements & due section below for every assignment. Work handed in late is not accepted.

Week 2 > Sept 2

Exercise
Find Journalist Blogs
Description
Locate 5 journalist blogs -- blogs that are either run by journalists or about journalism. You may use the examples on this page as a spring board, but you may not bring in the example blogs as a part of your "findings." There are many journalist blogs out there -- use blogs and Google to find journalist blogs that interest you.
Requirements
Bring your list of at least 5 unique journalist blog URLs on a floppy disk to class. Be prepared to tell the class what type of posts are normally found on the blogs you bring in and provide background information.
Purpose
Familiarize yourself with leading online journalists who share their knowledge on field trends through their blogs.
Context
Use the assignment as an opportunity to see how other journalist bloggers use their forums. The more blogs you read, the better blogger you can become. You should strive to not only find new and unique blogs that interest you, but link to posts from others' blogs to continue the community discourse on a particular topic.
