Exercise
Blog Planning
Description
Begin planning your blog, but do not set it up yet. Begin to consider:
  • What topic you want to blog about.
  • What name you want to call your blog.
  • Where you will host your blog.
Requirements
Look at other blogs to determine what your blog will be like.
Purpose
This is the initial phase of creating your blog. Take a great deal of time and thought when considering what your blog will be like and how you use it.
Context
A blog name and topic are not things that can easily be changed. These two concepts set the tone and help you "market" your blog. By taking time to plan these concepts prior to starting the blog, you will save yourself a lot of trouble after you get going.
Examples
Good journalism blogs include:There are many more out there -- look for blogs that peak your interest.
Due

Points

The assignment description and requirements on the Web site supercede the written syllabus passed on the first day of class.
